More Killers and Brandon dates

Sorry for the lack of updates recently.

There's been a lot of news lately and amongst it, three new dates to be excited about.

Firstly, Brandon Flowers is playing The Eden Sessions at The Eden Project in Cornwall on 12th July.  Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday 14th March at 6pm, Inside Track members can buy them now. More details can be found at their website.

Brandon has also been announced for Oxegen festival in Ireland on 9th July.  Tickets are already on sale and you can buy them at their website.

Finally, and most excitingly, The Killers have announced a warm up show in Chile, prior to their Lolapolooza date on 31st March at Teatro LaCupula, Santiago, Chile. Members of the Victims should check their emails or the website as soon as possible for details of pre-sale opportunities.  Details of the venue are here.

Tommy Marth recently tweeted that this would be an exciting time for Killers' fans. Let's hope for some more news soon.

Ronnie's New Website

Ronnie Vannucci now has is own website, Big Talk Music, in support of his upcoming solo project.  There's not much on there at the moment, just a short message and video from Ronnie (the same ones that was posted on the Victims) and some pictures. You can subscribe to updates though and there is a section marked "Tour".

You can see the website at www.bigtalkmusic.com/

Kansas Review from Popwreckoning

Kansas Review from The Pitch

Review of Brandon's Kansas gig from The Pitch which you can read here.

Seriously though:

"When sitting in the front row of a balcony, realize you have one of the best seats in the house. Use it. Don't stand up. There are people behind you."

One of my huge bugbears is people who sit down at rock concerts. It's not the opera people, the seats are there to stand on!

Denver Review from Westword

Great review of both Fran Healy and Brandon at the Ogden Theater, Denver, with a couple of great quotes from Fran:

"I just put out a solo record. Don't tell my band. Don't twat that."

and"

Get off!" He mocked us playfully by way of a farewell. "We just want to stare at Brandon's crotch!"

Vancouver Review from Scene in the Dark

A really nice review of Brandon's show in Vancouver, along with a lovely report on Fran's performance spattered with quotes from his many stories, and a great fan interaction tale.

Both frontmen clearly made a very good impression on the writer, as he summaries their performances thusly:

"The Commodore is a world class concert venue in a world class city. On November 15th it had two world class artists on stage and they lived up to the anticipation I had built up before the show."
